Lots of churches use WhatsApp groups for messaging within ministry teams like worship band, children’s workers and so on. The messages are end to end encrypted, but the phone numbers of the participants are accessible, so it’s not as private as many would like.

Ministry chat is available on the Our Church app, as a shortcode to put on your public facing website (people will need to login to use it) and in the back end. Admins can delete messages and users can attach images to their messages.
You can set messages to disappear after a set number of days to stop people’s devices getting clogged up.

To get the Chat feature, you need the Premium Version of the Church Admin Plugin and the app on some devices. There’s a general chat everyone logged in can access and then ministry chats for each of your ministries. Admins can see all the chats, otherwise people can only see and participate in chats for ministries they are part of.
