How you add a page to your website menu depends on the type of theme your site is using — a classic theme, or a full block theme like Twenty Twenty-Five. If you’re not sure which you have, check the tip at the end of this page.
Classic themes — Appearance → Menus
Log in to your website dashboard and click Appearance → Menus.

Some sites have multiple menus, so make sure you select the one you want from the dropdown and click Select (or create a new one).

On the left-hand side, scroll down to the page you want and tick its checkbox — use View All or Search if you have a lot of pages. Then click Add to Menu.

It’ll appear at the bottom. Drag and drop it up or down to position it (top of the list is the left-hand side of the menu). You can also make it a child item by indenting it slightly to the right as you drop it.
Lastly, click Save Menu at the bottom.

Block themes — Site Editor Navigation
Full block themes — including Twenty Twenty-Five — don’t use the classic Menus screen. Instead, menus are edited as a Navigation block inside the Site Editor:
- Go to Appearance → Editor, then click Navigation in the left-hand sidebar.
- Select the navigation menu you want to edit (most sites only have one).
- Click the + icon to add a new item. Choose Page Link to search for and insert an existing page, or add a Custom Link for any URL.
- Drag items up or down to reorder them, or drag one slightly to the right and drop it onto another item to nest it as a submenu.
- Changes save automatically as you go, but it’s worth clicking Save in the top right to be sure.
Tip: if you’d rather every published page appear in the menu automatically without adding them one by one, use the Page List block instead of building the list manually.
Not sure which type of theme you have?
Check the Appearance menu in your dashboard. If you see a Menus link, follow the classic theme steps above. If you only see Editor and Patterns (no separate Menus link), your theme is a full block theme — follow the Site Editor steps instead.
