I keep getting the app login screen even with a correct username and password

This happens when your website user account is not connected to a directory entry in the Church Admin plugin.

Thankfully that is easy to fix in one of two ways

Method 1 Edit the directory entry

Edit the person’s directory entry. At the bottom of the screen it will look like this.

If they already have an WordPress website account then you can user the dropdown menu. Otherwise type in a username – the plugin would normally use firstnamelastname adding a number if necessary.

Then click Save Details

Method 2 Create user accounts for everyone that needs one.

Clicking on Church Admin>People>Create Users will bring up this screen to begin creating accounts for all the entries that have email addresses stored.

Choose which member types you want to give accounts to.

Then click Create Users
