The Sermon Listing screen shows all the sermons uploaded to Church Admin, with options to edit, delete, and manage individual sermons. From here you can also access the upload screen and jump to the public-facing sermon page on your website.
Go to Church Admin → Media → Sermons.
The sermon list
Sermons are listed in reverse chronological order — most recent first. Each row shows:
- Title — the sermon title
- Speaker — who preached
- Series — the sermon series it belongs to, if any
- Date — when it was preached
- Bible passage — the scripture reference
- Service — which service it was preached at
- Views — how many times the sermon has been played or viewed on the public page
- Edit — opens the sermon edit form
- Delete — removes the sermon record after confirmation. The audio or video file itself is not deleted from your server or media library — only the sermon record in Church Admin is removed.
Adding a sermon
Click Add sermon at the top of the screen to upload or link a new sermon. See Add a sermon for the full details of the fields available.
Filtering the list
A filter bar above the list lets you narrow down the sermons shown by:
- Series — show only sermons from a specific series
- Speaker — show only sermons by a specific speaker
- Date range — show sermons between two dates
Apply filters and click Filter to update the list. Click Clear to return to the full unfiltered list.
Sermon series
Sermons can be grouped into series — for example a six-week Advent series or a teaching series on a book of the Bible. Series are managed separately and assigned to sermons when uploading or editing. See Sermon series for how to create and manage series.
Showing sermons on your website
Sermons are displayed on your website using the shortcode or Church Admin block. The sermon page shortcode is set in Church Admin → Media → Set sermon page — once set, Church Admin knows which page to link to from the podcast feed and other places that reference the sermon archive. See Set sermon page.
Use the shortcode generator to get the correct shortcode for your sermon display style — new style or old style, with your preferred options. See Shortcode generator.
Podcast feed
Church Admin automatically generates a podcast RSS feed from your sermon list. Any sermon with an audio file attached is included in the feed. See Podcasting for how to submit the feed to podcast directories.
