A podcast is digital audio published to the internet as a feed that people can subscribe to. In Church Admin, that’s typically your church’s sermon recordings, made available for anyone to listen to. People subscribe on their platform of choice — Spotify, Apple, Amazon — and get each new sermon automatically.
Church Admin lets you upload sermons and add details like title, description and even a transcript. You can also add a YouTube share URL to show the video recording alongside the audio.
Unlike most podcast setups, you don’t need a separate podcast hosting service. Your WordPress site is the host. The plugin builds your podcast.xml file — the list of your sermons in the standard format that Apple, Amazon and Spotify read. You submit that address to each platform once, and they pick up every new sermon from then on. Listing a podcast on those platforms is free.
