This screen lets you create a new site or edit an existing one. A site is a physical venue where your church meets. Most churches will only ever need one site — but if your church runs multiple locations, each gets its own site record.
See Sites and Services overview for context on how sites and services work together.
Finding the form
To add a new site go to Church Admin → Sites & Services → Add site.
To edit an existing site go to Church Admin → Sites & Services, find the site in the list, and click Edit.
Fields
Service venue
The name of the venue — for example St Andrew’s Church, The Community Hall, or City Campus. This name appears in the admin dashboard wherever the site is referenced and can be shown on your website through shortcodes.
Address
The full street address of the venue. Enter it in the address field, then click Please click here to update map location to geocode it. A map pin drops at the approximate location — drag it to the exact spot if needed.
The geocoded coordinates are used as the default centre point for the people map and the small groups map when no group coordinates are available. Getting this right means your maps are centred on your church rather than defaulting to an arbitrary position. See Geolocating.
Photo
An optional photo of the venue. Click the upload area to select an image from the WordPress Media Library or upload a new one. The photo can be displayed on your website alongside the site’s address details.
Saving
Click Save Site. A confirmation message appears and you are returned to the sites list. The site is immediately available to assign to services.
