The Calendar List View displays upcoming events from your Church Admin calendar as a chronological list rather than a grid month view. It’s a clean, scannable format well suited to a church website homepage, a sidebar widget page, or an events section where visitors want to see what’s coming up without navigating a calendar grid.

How many days ahead to show events. Defaults to 28 (four weeks) if not set. Increase this to show events further into the future — for example days=90 for a three-month window — or decrease it to keep the list short and focused on the immediate future.

To find a category ID, go to Church Admin → Calendar → View categories — the ID appears in the URL when you click Edit on a category.
The category parameter is useful for embedding a topic-specific events list on different pages — for example a Youth events list on the Youth page, a Community events list on the Community page, and a full events list on the main What’s On page, all pulling from the same calendar but filtered differently.
Combining parameters
Both parameters can be used together. For example, to show the next 60 days of events in category 3:

No events to display in the next 60 days
What the list shows
Events are listed in date order, starting from today. Each event shows:
- The event date and time
- The event title
- The event description if one has been entered
- The location if one has been entered
Only events marked as visible on the public calendar appear — events set to admin-only are excluded. Events from imported iCal feeds also appear if they are set to show on the public calendar.
If no events appear
- No events in the window — there are no events in the calendar within the configured number of days. Add events in Church Admin → Calendar or increase the
daysparameter. - Category filter too narrow — if using the
categoryparameter, check that the category ID is correct and that events exist in that category within the date window. - Events set to admin-only — check that your calendar events are set to show on the public calendar rather than admin-only visibility.
