The Spiritual Gifts module provides a questionnaire that members can complete on your website to identify their spiritual gifts. The results are stored against each person’s directory record and summarised on the admin screen, giving your leadership team a congregation-wide picture of the gifts present in the church.
Adding the questionnaire to your website
Create a page on your website and add the shortcode or the Church Admin block:

Or search for Church Admin in the Gutenberg block inserter and select the Spiritual Gifts option. Members need to be logged in with a WordPress account linked to their directory record to complete the questionnaire — their results are saved against their person record automatically when they submit.
Place the page behind a login requirement so only members can access it. See Members only content.
The gifts assessed
The questionnaire covers fourteen spiritual gifts:
- Mercy
- Prophecy
- Administration
- Encouragement
- Counselling
- Evangelism
- Giving
- Helps
- Intercession
- Hospitality
- Pastoring
- Teaching
- Healing
- Leadership
The admin screen
Go to Church Admin → Spiritual Gifts. The screen shows:
- Overall participation — how many people in the directory have completed the questionnaire out of the total number of people, so you can see at a glance how much of your congregation has engaged with it
- Per-gift counts — for each of the fourteen gifts, how many people identified that gift as one of theirs — for example 8 people identified “Teaching”
This gives your leadership team a useful overview of the gifts represented in the congregation — where you are well resourced, and where there may be gaps that need addressing through recruitment, training, or prayer.
Encouraging participation
- Link to the questionnaire page from the app menu or a members area landing page so it’s easy for people to find
- Introduce it during a sermon series or small group course on spiritual gifts — people are much more likely to complete it when they understand why it matters
- Follow up the results in small groups or one-to-one conversations to help people understand and develop their gifts
