The View address list screen is your working view of the church directory inside the admin area. It lists your households so you can browse, search, and open any record to edit it. This is the everyday screen for finding and managing people.
Finding the page
Go to the People tab and open View address list. The list shows one row per household, ordered alphabetically by the head of household’s surname.
Searching
At the top of the page is a search box. Use it to jump straight to a person or household rather than paging through the whole directory — the quickest way to find someone when you know who you’re looking for.
Filtering by member type
Below the search box is a Choose a member type dropdown. Pick a member type — Visitor, Regular Attender, Member, and so on — and click Go to show only households whose head of household is in that type. Leave it on Show all to see everyone. If no households match the type you picked, the page tells you so.
Reading the list
Each household row shows:
- Delete Household — remove the whole household.
- Head of Household — the main contact for that household.
- Household Image — the household photo, if one has been added.
- Household — the household name and its members.
- Address — the household’s address.
- Last Updated — when the record was last changed, so you can spot details that may be due a refresh.
Paging through the directory
The list is paginated, showing 20 households per page by default, with page links at the top to move through the directory. If you’d like more or fewer per page, that’s controlled by the pagination limit setting.
Editing a household
To change someone’s details, open their household from the list and edit it there. For how households and their members work, see What is a household? and Adding and editing a household.
