Contact Form Settings controls who receives form submissions, how many URLs are permitted in a message, and which words trigger automatic spam rejection. Go to Church Admin → Contact Form → Contact form settings.
Recipient email address
Enter the email address that should receive contact form submissions. This is typically a general church enquiries address or the email of whoever handles first contact — for example your administrator or welcome pastor.
Only one recipient address can be entered here. If you need messages to go to multiple people, use a group email address or a forwarding rule set up in your email client.
Push notification recipient
If you use the Our Church app, you can choose a person from the directory to receive a push notification on their phone whenever a contact form message is submitted. The dropdown lists everyone in the directory who has the app installed and has a push token registered.
This is useful for whoever monitors enquiries — they get an instant notification rather than waiting for an email to arrive. Leave this unset if you don’t use the app or don’t need instant notifications. See Getting started with the app.
Maximum URLs allowed in a message
Set the maximum number of URLs (web addresses beginning with http:// or https://) a message is allowed to contain before it is rejected as spam. Most genuine enquiries contain no URLs at all — a setting of 1 or 2 is usually sufficient. The default is 2.
Banned words
A comma-separated list of words that automatically reject a submission if they appear anywhere in the message. The check is case-insensitive, so adding a word in lowercase will catch it in any capitalisation.
Church Admin ships with a default banned word list already in place. Please be aware that this list contains some obscene words — it was compiled to catch common spam content and reflects what spammers actually send. You may want to review it before showing this screen to volunteers or junior administrators.
To add a word, type it into the textarea followed by a comma. To remove a word, delete it and its comma from the list. Click Save when done. Words are stored as a comma-separated list — spaces after commas are handled automatically.
Saving settings
Click Save at the bottom of the screen. A confirmation message appears and all settings take effect immediately for the next form submission.
