Installation Errors

The Installation errors page shows any problems Church Admin recorded when it was last activated. Most sites will never see anything here — but if the plugin didn’t set itself up correctly (for example, a database table couldn’t be created), the details are captured on this page to help you or the support team work out what went wrong.

Finding the page

Go to Church Admin → Settings → Installation errors. Accessing it requires Directory permission; if you don’t have that, you’ll see a message saying so rather than the page.

What you’ll see

If everything installed cleanly, the page simply tells you there are no installation errors recorded — which is exactly what you want.

If an error was saved during activation, the page shows the error message that was recorded, so you can see what the plugin ran into. This is useful information to pass on when contacting support, as it often points straight to the cause.

Clearing the log

When an error is present, a Clear activation errors log link appears. Once you’ve resolved the issue — or noted the details for support — click it to clear the recorded error. If you suspect the problem is fixed, you can clear the log and then deactivate and reactivate the plugin to see whether the error is recorded again.
