Update Calendar Locations

⭐ Premium

The Update Calendar Locations screen shows every unique location string currently used across your calendar events and lets you edit them all in one place. It’s a bulk find-and-replace for location text — useful for correcting typos, standardising inconsistent venue names, or updating a location after a venue name changes.

Go to Church Admin → Calendar → Update calendar locations.

How it works

The screen pulls out every distinct location text that appears on any calendar event. Each unique location is shown as a labelled text field with its current value pre-filled. Edit the text in any field and click Update — every calendar event that currently uses that location string is updated to the new value in one step.

This is a global replace — changing a location here updates it on every calendar event that uses that exact text, past and future. There is no way to update it for some events but not others from this screen. If you need to change the location on a specific event only, edit that event directly in Church Admin → Calendar.

Common uses

  • Correcting a typo — if a venue name has been entered inconsistently across many events — for example both St Andrews Hall and St Andrew’s Hall — correct each variant to the same canonical spelling so all events show the same location
  • Venue rename — if a venue your church uses has changed its name, update it once here rather than editing every event individually
  • Address change — if your church has moved premises, update the location across all future events in one operation
  • Consolidating variants — if the same venue has been entered in multiple ways across different events, standardise them all to one consistent string

If the screen shows no locations

If the screen shows a warning that no locations have been saved yet, none of your calendar events currently have a location field populated. Add locations to events in Church Admin → Calendar and they will appear here.
