Scheduling Ad Hoc Services

Most churches have their regular weeklys services, but also need the abilityto create schedules for ad hoc services like funerals and weddings.

That’s easyto do in Church Admin Premium.

Head to Add Services (Church Admin Dashboard > Sites & Services > Add Service)

In the Service frequency section, choose Ad Hoc, which means that the schedule section doesn’t automatically create service occasions and you can quickly schedule your volunteers for services whenever.

To start scheduling ad hoc services, head to the Schedule (Rota) section and choose the ad hoc service.

You will find that you need to assign some “jobs” to the service.

So click on that button…

Here you can see we have some jobs setup already, but not for the “Ad hoc” service type. You can add some new ones, or edit existing jobs and assign them to the new service type.

Here we are editing “Worship Leader” to add it to the new service type.

Check the new service, and click Save at the bottom. I tend to assign a schedule job to a ministry, so that the plugin gives me people options when creating schedules.

Once ou have edited or added some scheduled some jobs for the new service, you can head back to the Schedule and start creating some service instances. Click “Add a date”

You can set a date and time and even bespoke title for the service, such as Smith Wedding.

After clicking Save, we now have our first ad hoc service arranged.

As you can see from this screenshot, you can click “Create calendar event” to put it on the calendar.

Service schedules are a premium plugin feature.
