The next easy win to help people find you on Google and AI search is to make sure the title and short description of each page and post is helpful.
The reason is that Google does use them when people search for your church. Mine were auto-generated by the WordPress theme and were awful!

Most of the sentences under the page titles in our Google result didn’t make sense.
It is quite hard to write good ones yourself and where do you put them? I have created a plugin that generates them and then make sure they are on each page, again under the hood, where the search engines will find them. The plugin also creates the special tags that Facebook and Twitter like for page sharing too.
The Meta Tag Writer plugin sits at the bottom of the edit screen of every post and page. All you need to do is pick which style you want – profession, friendly, persuasive or concise and punchy and then click “Generate with Claude AI”. It will then workout the meta title and description for the page or post and allow you to edit if you wish. It is then automatically saved when you publish the post.
Here’s the one for this post!

The plugin is a free download and then 50 credits is GB £4.99, which will be enough for many church websites!
Or if you want more information, check out the plugin page.
Within weeks Google will pick up the changes!
