The Sent Emails screen keeps a record of every bulk email sent through Church Admin, with options to view, resend, or edit and resend each one. It’s the audit trail for your church’s email communications and a convenient way to reuse previous emails for new campaigns.
Go to Church Admin → Communications → Sent Emails.
What the list shows
Emails are listed in reverse chronological order — most recent first — with pagination if you have sent many emails. Each row shows:
- Subject — the email subject line
- Date — the date and time the email was sent
- Number of recipients — a summary of the email addresses the email was sent to
- Excerpt — the first 250 characters of the email body, so you can identify the email without opening it
- Thumbnail — the thumbnail image attached to the email if one was uploaded
Actions available for each email
Resend to previous recipients
Sends the email again to exactly the same list of recipients it was sent to originally. You are asked to confirm before it sends. Useful if you need to resend due to a technical issue, or if a previous send failed partway through.
Resend to new recipients
Opens the email with its original content pre-loaded but lets you select a fresh set of recipients using the people filter before sending. Useful for sending a previous email to a different group — for example sending a newsletter that went to Members to also reach Regular Attenders — without having to retype the content.
Edit and send
Opens the email in the send email form so you can update the subject, message, or recipients before sending again. Useful for sending a similar but updated version of a previous email — for example a follow-up to an event announcement.
View email in browser
Opens a public-facing version of the email in a new browser tab. This is the same link that can be included in emails as a “view in browser” option for recipients whose email client doesn’t render HTML correctly. The link is unique to each email based on a hash of the email ID — it does not require a login to view.
Delete
Removes the email from the sent log after confirmation. Deleting an email from the log does not unsend it — it only removes the record from this screen and makes the browser link stop working.
Sending a new email
A Send email button at the top of the screen takes you directly to the Send Email form to compose a new message. See Send email.
