Thank you, Andy!
rrfranksParticipantThank you so much Andy! That was definitely the problem. I appreciate all your work on this!
rrfranksParticipantHi Andy, I apologize for the delay. For some odd reason I no longer receive notifications when you post a reply so I have to depend on my memory (which is much less reliable these days). I set a password reset for your account on our system so you should be able to login soon. The family is the Alcime and they show up partially on both app & website. I am sure I am missing something, but I cannot figure it out.
rrfranksParticipantHi Andy, It has been a while since I posted my issue. I wonder if you have any direction on this problem yet? Thanks!
rrfranksParticipantI entered the families on the website and they do show up there. However only the husband’s information shows up in the app and the app has no search function that I can find for the directory.
rrfranksParticipantPastor Andres, as I perused the links you posted above I realized that Andy had included code in the App menu that allowed me to create a graphical interface on our App’s home page rather than simply relying on the links in the drop down menu. While the graphical interface I created is OK at best, our congregation seems to like and finds the app much more useable with it. Thank you so much for posting the links above!
rrfranksParticipantHi! I have no idea why the “Prayer Request” option under my WordPress “Church Admin” menu disappeared. But since it did so at the same time as the new update to the plugin I thought the update caused the problem. It has been difficult to go without this option for almost a month, but I finally did some more digging around in WordPress and found that the “Prayer Request” option had not been removed from “Church Admin” but that it had just gotten removed from my WordPress menu. So I simply added a link to “Prayer Request” into my WordPress menu and I am good to go! I guess that will teach me to presume I know what the problem is when I encounter something; especially when it was so simple to fix. How humbling…seems like the Lord has to do that a lot in my life. š
rrfranksParticipantPastor Andres, I would love to reformat the app to make it less text based or more graphic. However, I do not know CSS or Java so I followed your links. They were helpful, but unfortunately the examples you gave under the “Styling the App” were broken links. Do you happen to have the updated links? I would appreciate any examples you have. I think if I had some CSS code I could edit it to meet our needs. Thank you!
rrfranksParticipantHi! I was wondering if there has been any progress on this issue? Not trying to be a nuisance, but I know how it is to have a lot things being thrown at you and how easily they can fall through the cracks. š
rrfranksParticipantInteresting! I do not have an option for “prayer requests”, but instead an option for “app content”. I wonder what you do when the “prayer request” option is missing?
rrfranksParticipantActually it is the main Prayer Requests menu on the left that is missing.
rrfranksParticipantAndy, I entered your css code into my settings and it kept the background white, but it changed the speaker & date to a brownish font that shows up just fine. However, the font on the title of the sermon is still white (so it does not show up with the white background). Is there something I could add to change the font of the title to the brownish color as well. I never could get the directory font to change to white, but that is OK. Right now, most of our people use the app.
Thank you for all your help!
rrfranksParticipantThank you men so much for your help! I really know little about CSS but with your suggestions I think I can get it to work.
rrfranksParticipantFully understand. Thanks for your effort!!! š
rrfranksParticipantPastor Andres, a push message to the App sounds like a great idea as well! I am open to anything that will notify me that I need to approve the prayer request. Your idea sounds a lot less complicated than my suggestion. š
