Roles and permissions is a bit clunky in WordPress. In the developer docs, you are asked not to check the role names themselves, but what each role is allowed to do.
So when church admin does a level check, here’s what is being checked
Administrator – manage options
Editor – delete others pages
Author – publish posts
Contributor – edit posts
Subscriber – read
Thanks Andy, no problem. I’ve kind of worked around it. I’ve opted to add permissions by user because you can’t assign a tab to more than one user role. Got it working for what I need at the moment though. I’m getting ready to handover some Jobs to people and people are so good at breaking stuff.
