All the links to my sermon mp3 files have changed and no longer will play in the app or on our website. Was there some kind of change to the software that created this? If so, is there an easy way to fix this or do I have to go back through each individual sermon (for the past 5 years) and individually change each link? Any help you could offer would be very much appreciated.

    Morning Rick,

Looks like Soundcloud have got wise to hotlinking files without using their player (which makes sense – it’s using their bandwidth). I did a right click and inspect and then right click on the file name to open in a new window and it comes up with “forbidden”

Probably best way round this is for me to add a form field to allow using the soundcloud embed code, so you can have a soundccloud player (or any other providers share code)

https://help.soundcloud.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003566828 is their link on how to get the code.

Where you getting the links from – it doesn’t have anything that could be used to convert it to the valid embed code.

Oh I see what you have been done!

    Your RSS feed is https://feeds.soundcloud.com/users/soundcloud:users:149179504/sounds.rss

You can get the mp3 link there such as https://feeds.soundcloud.com/stream/1431660454-kirkoftheplains-the-dynamic-power-of-sanctification.mp3 – that will work in Church Admin

BUT if you browse to that link it gets redirected to a different link on their content delivery network which is time limited. Looks you have been saving that changed link which won’t work after a certain time (which won’t be long)
