    Hi i experienced an error when using the People Functions widget to add a new person (not connected to a current household). It returned me a blank page after i press save details. This also happened when i tried to add a small group.

    Any ideas why this happened? Did i leave out something when installing the plugin?

    I see you are on v0.541 – the latest. Was it a fresh install or update?
    Are you logged in as an administrator?

    Please try deactivating, deleting and then installing again.
    I’ve had no problems with fresh installs or upgrades with 0.541

    Thanks Andy for the prompt response. Yup I am the admin and it was a fresh install. I actually installed it via the plugins search on WP itself. It had only v0.55..

    Any idea where to grab the previous copies of your plugin?

    Okay, thanks for that. I’ve found the issue.
    The John Lin record had no household – which stopped it being edited.

    I’ve recreated the problem by using the “Add a new person (not connected to a current household)” link on the church admin menu page.
    I’ve worked out the bug (phew) and fixed it on your installation.

    I’ve also deleted John Lin and re-added it so it can be edited.

    So your installation is fully working now – I’ll issue an update for the rest of the world later on.

    0.551 will have the fix for everyone else!



    BTW: As an aside Member Type is more to allow communication to all your members or all your visitors etc.
    “Life group leader” is a “ministry” that people can do – having it as a ministry means you can still use the bulk email to email all your life group leaders. It also means displaying the address list of is much easier You’d be best to delete the member type “life group leader” and have it as a ministry -you’ll find you can do more that way!!!

    One question-

    Now that I’m able to “Add Group”, there seems to be 2 “Leader” DropDown lists. Is that a mandatory thing or am I able to edit that?

    I’ve just faced that issue today myself – we have a new group with one leader. I’ll fix that in the next update!
