I have a question about the basic registration as it pertains to the app.

If a standard user registers, they are added as a subscriber by default. If they open the app and tap the Address option will they see all other users in the database or just their own information?

Also, is there a way to control this? For example, I’d like to allow logged-in users who are type “member”, “pastor”, “elder”, or “deacon”, but exclude all other member types.

You can choose which member types are visible in the app, by heading to Church Admin > App > App Settings, then you can check the member types you wish to be visible and clicking on Save.
This is an example for my Church

Thank you! So, is there a way to restrict those who are viewable to only be seen by those who are in those categories? For example, if I visit the app as a non-member and click Address I shouldn’t see the information regarding all the members right?

    That’s correct.
If not logged in an app user is presented with a login form.
I check “Only logged in user sees item in app menu” for items that require login anyway on our install (Church Admin > App > App Menu)

So, I ran a quick test. I created a dummy user through the basic registration form. My dummy user was not in the “Member” group, rather he was in the “Mailing List” group. However, he still had access through the app to the Member directory.

So, I think this answers my question regarding access so I’ll submit a separate thread with a request to add the ability to restrict the directory from users who are not in a particular group.
