Andy, I noticed in the recent update here, the language files are now on WordPress for translations. However, when I went to retrieve a set for US English (us_en, labeled just as English in WordPress), I did not see an entry here: https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/church-admin/stable

Can you add English (us_en) as a supported language at translate.wordpress.org for Church Admin? I’ll be happy to start plugging in the data I had from the prior version translation files that were part of your install package.

Thanks and keep up the great work – this plugin is fantastic for churches.

The translation guys told me that en_US is the default and to remove the files from my commits.
I don’t know how to add it at translate.wordpress.org and have asked them for advice – the documentation is pretty poor, but the help is quick and good. So will let you know.

Thanks, what I noticed right away on my update were thing like ‘Rota versus ‘schedule’ showing on the site. Hopefully you can get some advice and I look forward to hearing back.

Oh. I’m UK based so always default to UK English – I think I just need to make the default phrasing US centric and then it wouldn’t matter that the new WordPress localisation doesn’t have en_US
If you get a chance note where it’s “wrong” and let me know

I’m making the default language strings – American. It galls me to be misspelling words like colour ;-)

Thanks, I did a review after installing the latest version and most areas look to be using the US English. The only one that jumped out at me was ‘Rota’ in the Service Schedule PDF. Sorry for all the misspellings compared to UK English Wink
