I’ve tried everything I can think of and still can’t get any maps to work. The maps show the Indian Ocean near the Island of Seychelles rather than Florida in the US. All of the Latitudes and Longitudes for each family in the directory are identical and do not change. I’ve followed the tutorial for establishing and entering my API Key. I’ve given up. Help if you have any ideas on what to try next. Thanks!
4th May 2019 at 9:14 am #4222Andy MoyleKeymasterGoogle haven’t made it easy to do, that’s for sure. Mostly it’s no credit card on the account or it’s not been locked to the domain well….
(The credit card is daft as you won’t get enough traffic to be charged anyway!)
To diagnose
If you open an page/backend page that has a map on it then right click and click insect. You will get some developer tools underneath.
Click on “console” and there will be some red errors, copy and paste those and it will tell me what the issue is.Or email me the directory password and I will look! My email is support@ the domain above!

I’m not sure if I’ve solved my problem with Google or not but I do have another problem in the console. This is the notice:admin.php?page=church_admin%2Findex.php&action=display_household&tab=people&household_id=1&_wpnonce=76908e5276:354 Mixed Content: The page at ‘https://antiochchurchofchrist.org/wp-admin/admin.php?page=church_admin%2Findex.php&action=display_household&tab=people&household_id=1&_wpnonce=76908e5276’ was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure image ‘http://maps.google.com/maps/api/staticmap?key=AIzaSyDX4DjsQ-63Nwpt49vDUq1tIXNXusZD6yM¢er=-0.148193359375,51.50351129583287&zoom=15&markers=-0.148193359375,51.50351129583287&size=500×300’. This content should also be served over HTTPS.
Thanks!
