Sure, I’ll knock up an importer plugin later today. It’s not the sort of thing I would want to leave in the main plugin as you could wipe everything quite easily if someone nasty hacked you!

    Here’s a DB importer plugin. https://www.churchadminplugin.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/church-admin-importer.zip
It’ll accept a gz compressed file of mysql statements and run a database query on each line. No checks are made, it will just do what you give it. So BE CAREFUL! I take no responsibility for data destruction – use at own risk.

Upload the church admin database backup and it will rewrite the tables (you can use it upload a gz compressed sql file)

    Deactivate and delete after use!

Hi Andy! I have a complicated question. Basically the database for our website got corrupted…the backup that we had for our site was corrupted…so we ended up deleting our database and starting all over with a new site. I do have a backup of our Church Admin file, but when I tried to “Restore DB backup” the process runs, but there is no information in Church Admin at the end of the process. I am not a computer programmer, but it appears that it is looking for our old website database (which no longer exists). I even tried installing the importer mentioned above and it did not work as well. Is there any way to reinstall the “sql.gz” file that I have?

    That’s not complicated ;-)
Send it over (support@ my domain above!). I’ll need to know the new database name and the wordpress prefix (default is wp_). I’ll fix it and send it back!
