    I get this error when I click on Groups:

    Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home/adamskin/public_html/dbc30b/wp-content/plugins/church-admin/includes/small_groups.php on line 462

    When I click on Groups. This is a fresh WordPress site (4.7.2) with plugin v1.092

    Thanks for the spot, which only happens in older versions of PHP. Will be fixed in next update
    You should ask your host to update your PHP version though to newer than 5.5
