We are trying to make the app home page all it can be. Can we use hyperlinks to App elements? i.e. a link on the home page to login/logout or Submit a Prayer Request?
Also will it work to use a complicated, animated, html 5 page for the home page?

That sounds great!
Navigation in the app is different, so you don’t use “a” tags as they will take you out of the app into a browser. If you look at the App content post type there is a button code for linking to other app pages. You can style that how you want using the CSS section or by using inline styles.
You can do anything HTML5 you want!
No shortcodes though.
Forms will post to a browser for the same reason as above.For sliders equivalent – animated gif?
For app content that’s part of the app like prayer, use… (I’ll update the app section to show the code for each one)
