I am having trouble sending a bulk email i entered all my email settings the one thing i noticed is that in the settings page when i enter all my details and then click update settings, when i go back to that page all my settings are there except it changed the mail host to mail.example.com. If you could help that would be greatly appreciated, we also have about 40 emails so i was not queuing the emails
Thanks2nd September 2011 at 10:39 am #3363Andy MoyleKeymasterIf you are not queueing emails – I think you have found a bug! Which only happens when the setting “Queue emails” is not checked.
The mailserver settings are redundant – I forgot to remove them – will do in next update. Please visit http://www.yourdomain.com/wp-content/plugins/church-admin/includes/cronemail.php changing the url to your website and let me know what it says. That will confirm what I think the bug is
When you select to not queue emails, they are queue’d still but should be sent immediately. In your case they aren’t
A quick fix will be to select queuing and put something like 500 as max emails per hour and then select wp-cron as the method. Then it should work
2nd September 2011 at 11:41 am #3364Andy MoyleKeymasterFinished my sermon! And worked on some fixes and tested stuff I’ve been working on
I’ve just uploaded them to the WordPress site, so they should be available soon.
I’ve added email templating, check before send and fixed your issue hopefully. Let me know how you get on.
3rd September 2011 at 12:34 am #3365rodney18Memberit is still not working after I create the email i click save email and i get this error Warning: file_get_contents(/home/weiler5/public_html/gtmc.us/wp-content/plugins/church-admin/includes/email_template.html) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/weiler5/public_html/gtmc.us/wp-content/plugins/church-admin/includes/email.php on line 140

Thanks for all the help
4th September 2011 at 7:04 pm #3368rodney18MemberJust another note it does not send the email at all unless I go to cronemail.php in my browser
4th September 2011 at 7:14 pm #3369Andy MoyleKeymasterThanks for that – in practice I use cron on my server, so I will have a fiddle with immediate send and fixing wp-cron later tonight!
