    Thanks for this plug in.
Is there any way to be able to show a calendar for a Calendar Category – e.g. I’d like to be able to show our Small Groups events on the small groups pages and Worship events on the Worship pages.
It would also be useful to be able to put html (or site) links into an event so that you could jump to a page with more pages.

Not yet – but it is a nice idea – will work on it for a future version.

Thanks, I’m also having a problem that the mouseover option has stopped working on my calendar. Its working fine (in a different tab in the same browser session) when I look at your demo calendar and it worked when I first installed in. The item appears as “Text text text….” but mouseover does nothing. Do you have any suggestions.

Could you post the url of the site please, what browser the problem occurs with and what version of the plugin you are using!

It’s probably an escaping issue – if there is a ‘ or ” in the details… Can find out for sure when I have a look.

Thanks – web site is – I’ve tested on several computers with Firefox 3 & 4 and ie8. The Calendar is visible off the main menu. or go to http://www.christchurchtonbridge.com/church-calendar/ should the mouseover work on the event list as well as the calendar page?

I’ve got a feeling the apostrophe in Diane’s group is causing the problem – I’ll work on a fix, but for now can alter the event title – please delete that whole word (not just the apostrophe!) and re-enter without an apostrophe – there’s an escaping issue! Let me know when you have done it and if that is a temporary fix while I get apostrophes to not break the mouseover!

I just tried this but no joy. I have a test copy of the site at http://christchurch.peopleware-uk.com/wp/
So I deleted all events. Added new, no joy. Truncated the event-data and events tables so there was nothing in them, deactivated and reactivated the plug in. Added one new event and still no joy. I just looked at the page again in ie8 and it shows a “Done, but with erros on page” message. Clicking on it shows Webpage error details

Escaping is clearly not the issue.

It’s because jquery is running in your install in no conflict mode, but apparently not in mine!

I’ve update the plugin to 0.32.9.2 to fix that – please let me know if it is resolved. Thanks

Fantastic, that works. I am really impressed by the support for a free plug in. By the way I added an html link and its possible to follow it from some browsers. I also noticed another minor bug – if the default Calendar category of Unused is left, then when you go to update any event, the previously selected category is lost and the event will be set as “unused” unless you reselect the correct category before saving. Deleting the unused category gets rid of the problem.

Do you have any objection if I get some additional functionality written for this plug-in? Such as that suggested for Calendars with group lists? I am happy to use it for myself and/or hand it over to you if you want to use it?

Go for it! I take it you understand how the category, date and event tables relate to each other?

Display by categories would be great – send over any files to clients at the moyles dot co uk please!

As to calendar functionality, the category select bug on an edit needs fixing. One other thing the calendar could do with is a date exclude field in the event table, so that when an individual date is deleted from a series, that date is put in the exclude field, so a subsequent series event doesn’t re add it!

I’m not doing anything to the calendar at the moment – the address, rota and small groups are getting a major rewrite. People will have their own record and families will be made up of people, so people can have roles assigned and be in different groups etc!

I can’t make the mouseover work. I installed it and have added some events, but I cant see the information, here is the link for what I am doing http://nc3.tv/?page_id=450 , I remove all the apostrophes and it didn’t work. I’d appreciate some help. Thanks

nachobz – you have 2 other calendar plugins activated all adding lots of javascripts to webpage, so there’s probably a clash.
Apostrophes make no odds either way
Deactivate “wpng-calendar” and “google-calendar-widget” and it will probably work
