Just started using the plugin. Really like how you bundled the things that were most important to us churches in one plugin! Directory is working great, looks great. The calendar displays on the page I want using “[church_admin type=calendar]“; however, it doesn’t show any of the events I’ve entered (2 for testing). If I don’t put in a startend time, it won’t save. Says there are errors in red but I don’t see that. Even when it says it saves them they don’t appear in the list or on the calendar. I’ve added the widget to my menu but nothing appears, presumably because it isn’t saving the events. Thanks for any help. This was just what I was looking for to get some much needed tools up and running.
19th July 2011 at 10:17 pm #3405Andy MoyleKeymasterYou need to put start/end time into an event (I should get round to adding an all day checkbox)
“Errors in red” – the input boxes get a red outline when there are errors. It works on all versions and IE, Chrome, FF…
The widget will only appear when you have an event.
Have a look at the calendar page in the admin – are your 2 events saved?Lastly what is your web address, so I can have a look!
19th July 2011 at 11:36 pm #34067smithstnMemberSo sorry…. http://www.lbcarlington.org/wordpress . I have 2 events saved. I filled in all the fields in the tests to get it to save. It behaved like it worked but you can’t see them listed in the calendar admin page. I am using FF by the way. Thanks so much.
20th July 2011 at 7:57 am #3407Andy MoyleKeymasterI am afraid your website is not viewable yet in the UK – looks like a new domain name, I’ll look later.
I can’t break the calendar here – and it’ll throw a database error if the database has a problem. I’ve just added an update so you only get the event saved message if the db worked.
To try and replicate the error here please can you let me know what the event details were – a screen capture would be excellent!
20th July 2011 at 4:45 pm #34087smithstnMemberJust an update. I’ve been working with my provider. I can’t get to the site either. I can get into WordPress manager, just can’t browse the site. I was able to check the database and those events are there. For some reason they aren’t being displayed on the calendar or widget but we can’t troubleshoot that until the other is addressed by the provider. I did see you had an update and i’ve installed it. I’ll write back once my provider is straightened out and I can continue troubleshooting. Thanks again!
20th July 2011 at 5:28 pm #3409Andy MoyleKeymasterOkay – try updating the permalinks in wordpress admin – it maybe that has killed it – you never know!
24th July 2011 at 3:59 am #34107smithstnMemberTook awhile but I completely uninstalled WordPress from my site. Followed all the instructions on the WordPress site and reinstalled it. New files, new database, etc. Reinstalled the plugin and it seems to be working now. By the way I LOVE the color picker for the categories. Awesome. Can’t wait to get everything entered and show the church. Only thing I’ve caught so far is in the Settings, I can’t change the PDF size from A4 to Letter. I change it and hit Save and it reverts back to A4. Not a big deal. At this point I’m taking off to get everything else setup. If you know of anything that would prevent me from changing that just let me know. Otherwise I’ll start another thread some time later. Thanks again for the plugin. When I get the site more presentable (I toasted the whole thing to start over), I’ll let you know so you can see it.
13th December 2011 at 12:22 am #3411churchofsecondchancesMemberWe are putting in January’s events and when we go to look its coming up 404 page not found? it keeps going back to January/2011 not January/2012? Any suggestions?
13th December 2011 at 7:54 am #3412Andy MoyleKeymasterI can’t see your web page at http://www.churchofsecondchances.org to see the problem
Are you on the lastest version 0.33.2.6 which has fixed your specified issue?
On mine the dropdown shows 2011 but the calendar below is showing chosen month and year. Will fix the drop down display today!
