Hi, Yes sorry, me again,
I’ve got a really strange one this time.
In Services I have defined a few standard “Services” that we have on. I started with a normal Sunday service and all was good. I could set up rotas and it was glorious.
Today I have added another few services for other ministries (like Kids church etc.). I don’t seem to be able to add correct dates for these and the connection between Services and Rota Dates/Items seems confused.
Under the Rota tab I selected one of the other “Services” – in this case the “Grass cutting” Rota then clicked the Select Button which opened a new screen to add to Rota which I then did. Upon returning I noticed that the dates on the “Service” Rota Date that I have just edited continue on from the end of the Sunday Morning Service Rota dates instead of from Today. Under the Rota jobs I have linked one Rota Item to the “Grass Cutting” Service.
When I then go back into the Grass Cutting Service dates on the rota and edit one of them the “Sunday Service” rota items appear.
Apologies if I have explained this far too confusingly.

Sounds like there were some issues around multiple services, so I had a play and found some issues. Then looked at the spaghetti code written in 2010 and rewrote it more understandably. I think it should work fine now (0.930). Let me know if there are still some issues.Thanks for the update. It’s looking really good now (cosmetically). I like the subtle changes. Only, it still fails to edit the correct rota. When I click edit on ANY other service rota it shows only the items for the Main Service rota.
I never use the edit links in practice and forget to test it. I always edit the rota (roster for the yanks) by clicking on a table cell – although that has the disadvantage of not using autocomplete. Should work fine in 0.933 – it did for my test site anyway.
(On another note, I looked at your church site and discovered that the Plays count doesn’t increment on your mp3s when they are played, although it works on other sites. Need to investigate that one!)
Awesome. That now works, but the ability to add dates to any rotas but the main one has now disappeared. I think you might reach version 1.0 if I don’t stop.
Thanks for spotting that. I hadn’t even noticed the count wasn’t working.
