Hi Andy, wee question on how best to set something up. Our congregation is split up into various districts with each person assigned to a district. Each district also has district visitors allocated, as well as district Elders and Deacons. We had a local database app that had a districts table with the District_ID stored in the persons table. With a few intermediate “many to many” tables we could assign elders, deacons and visitors for each district and assign a visitor to each person. This allowed us to produce reports for each district so visitors could have a list of their people to visit and a note of who the elders and deacons for that district. Hope this makes sense! I can provide examples and table relationships if it’s of any interest.
Anyway, at the moment I think the only way to achieve this would be to set up each district as a small group, but it doesn’t really achieve the level of reports we currently have in use. Any thoughts on how to implement this, or is it something that might be considered for future development.
