    I have already imported directory photos into the Media Library, can we use use the standard WP image importer to allow us to pick from the library or to upload a new image?

    Not at the moment! You can hack it by grabbing an image attachment_id and putting it in the person’s record in the People table under attachment_id.
    It’ll be on the things to do eventually list!

    Actually it looks pretty simple to do having googled, so will sneak it into the next update!
