while checking, if "church_admin" can be a replacement for our current (self developed) "ministry planning" I came along some curiosities:
why does rota not make use of the roles (departments) configured for ministries? Instead it uses a independent list of rota jobs.
Currently it looks as if rota jobs are all stored with a department_id of "1" - I did not see an option to add an (existing) department_id to an rota job -- did I miss it somewhere?
If I do that asignment manually (search for the department_id out of wp_options name "church_admin_departments" and enter those ids to the correspondng "wp_church_admin_rota_settings" it is used and stored for tht rota:
What do you think about an "drop-down" menu when a rota is configured - if would e.g. allow to offer all members (from department "welcome") and one of them can be selected?
Nevertheless the rota planning is very flexible to also allow people to be added which are not member of a certain department:
church_admin_rotas now contains:
BTW: I would be willng to collaborate in translation (on https://poeditor.com/join/project?hash=560ac8e50c315bc16d072fe439b89696) - but German is not listed there - is there a reason for?

1) I've added German and sent you an invite (I have been adding langauges as I'm asked!)
2) Rota jobs connected to ministries and adding a drop down for a rota job from associated ministry/department. It would be a great feature for a larger church and the db tables are setup to add that in - just not got round to adding it in! On the todo list!
